Booking with confidence. Every Anchor Charters booking is covered by our full Terms & Conditions, summarised in plain English in our Booking Policy — including our promise of a full refund or new date if weather makes your trip unsafe. Your details are looked after just as carefully; our Privacy Policy explains how, in language you can actually read.
1. Booking and Payment
1.1. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Anchor Charters Limited.
1.2. A deposit or full payment as specified at the time of booking is required to secure your date.
1.3. For Private RIB Charters, the quoted price includes the skipper, fuel, and standard safety equipment. Bespoke catering or specific requested extras will be invoiced separately.
1.4. Confirmation will be sent via email once payment has been processed.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
2.1. Cancellations by the Customer: Cancellations made more than 14 days before the charter date will receive a full refund minus a small administrative fee. Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days will forfeit the deposit. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the charter are non-refundable.
2.2. Cancellations by Anchor Charters: We reserve the right to cancel any charter due to unsafe weather conditions (as determined by the Skipper), mechanical failure, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, customers will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
2.3. Anchor Charters Limited is not liable for any travel or accommodation costs incurred by the customer in the event of a cancellation.
3. Safety and Conduct
3.1. The Skipper has absolute authority on board. All passengers must follow the Skipper's instructions and safety briefing at all times.
3.2. Lifejackets are provided and must be worn as instructed.
3.3. Anchor Charters reserves the right to refuse boarding or terminate a charter early, without refund, if any passenger is deemed to be acting in an unsafe, abusive, or excessively intoxicated manner.
3.4. Passengers must disclose any relevant medical conditions or mobility issues at the time of booking to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.
4. Liability
4.1. Anchor Charters Limited holds full commercial insurance; however, passengers are responsible for their personal belongings. We accept no liability for damage to or loss of personal effects.
4.2. Participation in RIB activities involves inherent risks. By booking, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Anchor Charters Limited shall not be liable for personal injury except where caused by our proven negligence.
5. Appley Manor Escape Exclusive Terms
5.1. The Appley Manor Escape package is subject to the specific availability of both Anchor Charters and Appley Manor Hotel.
5.2. Catering and accommodation preferences are subject to the hotel's individual policies and terms.
