Introduction
This RYA Powerboat Level 1 course is a relaxed, practical introduction to boat handling and safety. Designed for complete beginners, it provides the essential skills and awareness you need to be a useful crew member and start handling a powerboat yourself under supervision.
The course is strictly limited to small groups—usually no more than three students to one instructor—so you get plenty of time at the helm. It is a one-day course usually delivered on our training boat, although we can also provide own-boat tuition if you would prefer to learn on your own vessel.

Do I need any experience?
None at all. The course is designed for complete beginners.
What should I bring?
Warm layers, waterproofs, non-slip soft-soled shoes, sun protection and a packed lunch. Lifejackets are provided.
