Welcome to Anchor Charters, where every journey on the water is shaped around you. Whether you wish to retrace the footsteps of history along the south coast or enjoy a private day afloat with an experienced skipper at the helm, our services combine expert seamanship, local knowledge and genuine hospitality. Aboard our vessel EmMa, named in honour of family members whose wartime service inspires our work, we offer two distinct experiences, each designed to create lasting memories for individuals, families and corporate groups alike.
Solent Heritage Charters

Step back in time and discover the remarkable maritime story of the south coast. Our heritage tours take you to the waters where history was made, including the D-Day embarkation points from which thousands set sail in June 1944. Guided by expert commentary and an experienced skipper, you will see historic landmarks, forts and coastline from a perspective few people ever experience. Each tour is thoughtfully paced, informative and respectful of the stories it tells, making it an ideal outing for history enthusiasts, families, schools and those wishing to honour relatives who served.
Ideal for: history enthusiasts, family gatherings, commemorative visits and educational groups.
Events

Throughout the year, Anchor Charters hosts a programme of special boat trips, offering unique experiences you will not find anywhere else. From festive excursions to rare natural spectacles, each event is carefully planned to make the most of the season and the coastline.
Highlights include our Christmas shopping trip to Gunwharf Quays, a relaxed and memorable way to arrive for a day of festive shopping, and our Bramble Bank event, a rare opportunity to visit the famous sandbank on the few occasions each year when it emerges at exceptionally low tide. New events are added regularly, so we recommend checking back often or contacting us to register your interest.
Places on our events are limited and tend to sell quickly, so early booking is advised.
Ideal for: festive outings, unique days out, gifts and group bookings.
Skippered Charters

Enjoy the freedom of the water without the responsibility of command. Our skippered charters place a qualified, professional skipper at your service, allowing you and your guests to relax and enjoy the day. Whether you are planning a celebration, a client hospitality event, a shopping trip by sea or simply a memorable afternoon exploring the coastline, we will tailor the itinerary to your requirements. Every trip is delivered to the highest safety standards, with the flexibility to adapt to your plans and the conditions on the day.
Ideal for: private celebrations, corporate hospitality, special occasions and bespoke day trips.
